Ronald J Breunig,
May 8, 1946- May 27, 2018,
After a hard fought battle with lung disease, Ron passed away on May 27th, 2018 at St Mary's Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Ron proudly served his country in the Vietnam war. After returning home, he was united in marriage to Mary Lou Hardy on February 15, 1969.
He was an avid fisherman and card player. He spent all his weekday mornings at the VFW playing cribbage with his friends. Ron also enjoyed talking sports with his kids and teasing his granddaughter about her love for Steph Curry. He was a whiz at Jeopardy, loved History, and knife making.
Ron is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; daughters, Traci(Bob) Rauner and Amanda (Joe) Murphy; grandchildren, Karly, Jack, Kaylin and Rylin, sister Lynda (Dale) Schoepp and brother, Randy (Donna) Breunig.
RB and his gruff/cynical sense of humor will be truly missed by his friends and family.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at St Mary's Hospital, for the exceptional care they gave to him.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City, WI.
A celebration of life will be immediately following the visitation from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the VFW in Prairie du Sac.
