Obituary

On Sunday, November 29th of 2015, a loving, wild-spirited, and honest father, grandfather, husband, brother, and uncle, Ronald K. Mack, passed away. Ron was born on September 22nd, 1956. He attended St John's Military Academy in Delafield, WI where he reached sergeant before leaving to care for his ill father. He graduated St. Mary's Catholic High School in Burlington, WI, class of 1974.

While employed at Wisconsin Southern Colonies caring for the mentally disabled he met his soulmate and best friend Robin Kendall (Mack). He was later employed at Oscar Mayer in Madison and most recently at Dean Health Systems as a phone representative, where he was well-liked and made many friends, a task seemingly effortless for him.

On July 21st, 1984, Ronald Mack married his best friend, Robin L. Kendall, and happily spent the rest of his life with her. Ron was father to four children: Douglas (Chrissy Luke) Mack of Phoenix, AZ, Emily Mack of Madison, Erica (Dan Brager) Mack of Madison, and Randy Mack of Madison, and Tank, the family dog. He was a grandfather to three, Jakob & Eve Weller-Mack, Jude Brager and a future Brager baby on the way. He was a brother to Diane Mrozek. Ron has many more nieces, and nephews, but his family did not only consist of blood and genetics; Ron was a father and grandfather to many more than his own children and grandchild. He loved friends and family deeply; his love seemed to go on forever. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Mack.

Ron had a smile that was contagious; the edges of his eyes would crinkle up, his eyes would twinkle, and as of lately, you could see his couple missing teeth. He wore this smile 24/7, especially when he was chuckling at one of his grandchildren or his own joke. He had a constant happiness that never seemed to stop, and had the ability to shed light on any situation. He was a wild, fun loving, sassy spirit with a unique quality of honesty to him. He was a genuine man, who would drop whatever he was doing to help with anything, or give a ride to just about anywhere and gave the best hugs.

Ron was a music lover through and through (he hosted his son's band practices every week), and a true fan of The Beatles. He passed on his love and knowledge of music to his children and grandchildren. He could be found by his fire pit outside, on the porch reading, or cozied up in his arm chair with a big quilt. Ron was a survivor of a liver transplant, and lived a happy many years longer than expected. He had one wild ride of a life.
