Ronald R. "Mike" Rolstad, age 78, died on Monday, June 16, 2014 at his home. He was born in Barneveld on March 20, 1936, the son of the late Milo and Fern (Kalish) Rolstad. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having enlisted in 1954 and served in Korea and Japan. He was united in marriage to Fay Katchinska on March 7, 1959. Mike was a Packers and Brewers fan, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, cribbage, and spending time with his grandchildren.


He is survived by his wife, Fay; two children, Rhonda (Maurice) Maier and Scott Rolstad; a sister, Kay (Pete) Collins; a brother, Richard "Dick" Rolstad; 4 grandchildren, Kori Maier, Wyatt Maier, Jacob Rolstad and Lauren Rolstad; a great-grandson, Bryce; many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelley Greimel.


A funeral service will be held at CONDORDIA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Prairie du Sac, at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014 with Pastor Doris Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery, with military honors provided by Lachmund-Cramer V.F.W. Post 7694. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
