Ruby Alma Hoffmann, age 91, passed away on Monday, Nov. 16, 2015 at Heartland County Village in Black Earth. Ruby was born in the Berry Township on Oct. 7, 1924 to the late Louis and Thekla (Brockman) Hoffman. She was united in marriage to Herman Ervin Martin Hoffmann on Aug. 22, 1945; he preceded her in death on May 13, 2006. Ruby and her husband Herman farmed in the Berry Township for over 50 years. She was an avid card player, member of the Halfway Prairie Homemakers Club, past secretary of the Farmers Union, member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Marxville, where she was active with the Quilting Club, and the Joy Circle.
She is survived by two sons, Donald (Margaret) of Windsor, James (Teresa) of Dane; a daughter in-law, Connie Hoffmann of Watertown; 7 grandchildren, Jason (Amy), Brent (Peggy), Carrie (Brian) Grosenick, Dana (Mark) Grosenick, Melanie (Michael) Sashse, Ashley (friend Mike) and Anthony Hoffmann; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband Herman, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Butch" Hoffmann, and a sister, Linda (Raphael) Beuthin.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Marxville. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
