Russell "Russ" Alan Osgood, age 55, passed away on Sun. Dec. 27, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Jan. 8, 1960 to Marvalene (Grass) and Duane Osgood. Russ graduated from Sauk Prairie High School, class of 1978. He attended MATC and received a degree in CNC Machining. Russ worked as a Fabricator and Machinist for Timco, Kohlman Enterprises, Springfield Welding, Monoflex and enjoyed working at the Breuning's Mystic Valley Farm. Russ cheered on the Packers and NASCAR, and enjoyed grilling, cooking, hunting, gardening and Budweiser.

Russ is survived by his son, Derek; his mother, Marvalene (David Blum) Osgood-Grauvogl; his siblings Ken (Sandy) Osgood, Wanda (Mike) Kohlman, Lori Hamilton, Dave (Cyndie) Osgood, Alan (Michelle) Osgood; brother in-law, Gary Bolar; the mother of his son, Julie Shockley; and nieces and nephews, Scott, Sarah, Janel, Karissa, Kyle, Christian, Zachary, Addison, Brandon; other relatives and many friends.

Russ was preceded in death by his father Duane, sister Rita, step-father Florian Grauvogl , aunt Shirley Grass, nephew Timothy Osgood, and brother in-law Pat Hamilton.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am on Sat. Jan. 2, 2016 at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, WI. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Zion Cemetery.
