Ruth May Accola, age 83, died on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. She was born in Honey Creek township on July 28, 1925, the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Klaetsch) Accola. She lived all of her life on the same farm. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, her flowers, doing fancy work, and her cats. She was a long time member of the Zion E&R Church and later the First United Church of Christ in Sauk City. She is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Accola of North Freedom and Caroline (Edsel) Steuber of Prairie du Sac; sister-in-law, VaLera Accola of North Freedom; nieces and nephews, Alton (fiance Patrice Pakiz) Accola of Shakopee, MN; John and Leanna Stueber of Billings, MT; and Joan and Tom Kaul of Baraboo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Accola and infant Lloyd Accola. Funeral services will be held at FIRST UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, Sauk City, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 with Pastor Bill Kapp officiating. Friends may call at the church after 1:00 p.m.
