Ruth M. Corrao, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born in Prairie du Sac Township on January 30, 1926, the daughter of the late Henry and Hilda (Erickson) Leister. She was united in marriage to Paul Corrao on April 14, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1994. Ruth was a member of First United Church of Christ and the Women's Guild.


She is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Russell) Accola of Spring Green; 2 sons, Anthony (Deborah) Corrao of Sauk City and Jim Corrao of Prairie du Sac; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mabel Nolden of Sauk City; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Nolden; and 4 brothers, Arthur, Harvey, Donald and Floyd Leister.


A memorial service will be held at FIRST UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, Sauk City, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2011with Pastors Bill Kapp and Kendall Harger officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at a later date in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
