Ruth L Lawler, age 81, from Mazomanie/Black Earth passed away on April 27 ^th , 2021, surrounded by her family after an extended illness. She was born on October 15, 1939, the daughter of Clarence & Golda (Dickerson) Obright. She was married on August 17, 1957 to Donald L Lawler at the Black Earth Lutheran Church. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary #437 for 42 years. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She hosted many slumber parties for the grandchildren that they still talk about today.

She is survived by husband, Donald, her children Cindy, Michael (Janice) and Mark (Karen) Lawler. Her grandchildren Chad (Kelly), Michael (Heather Maier) Lawler, Amber (Ray) Balthazor, Becky (Tyler) Nash, Daniel (Penny) Lawler, Kris, Stacy, Sandra Sutcliffe and Cassandra (Kevin) Meinholz, great grandchildren Reid, Avery, Aubre, Logan, Bryton, Anya, Tayven, Miller, Bringham, Claudia, Hudson & Rowan. Her sisters Pearl Schumann and Audrey Lawler, in laws Lindy (Barb) and Shari Lawler

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence & Golda Obright, son Mitchell, granddaughter Peggy Sue Lawler, brother Clarence Obright Jr, sister Elaine Dietzman, in-laws Willard Schumann, Gayle Lawler, Cathy (Tom) Borman, Bob and Doug Lawler.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the Mazomanie and Middleton EMS and to the Dane County Sheriff for their assistance.

In keeping with Ruth's wishes there will be a grave side service for family and friends on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11am at the Mazomanie Cemetery.
