Sandra J. Blum, age 75, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at her home. She was born in Vermont Township on May 29, 1938, the daughter of the late Aldro and Ruby (Barsness) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Joseph Blum on October 12, 1957. She was previously employed by Swiss Colony, Sauk Prairie School District and The Firehouse Restaurant.


She is survived by four children, Scott (Cindy) Blum, Casey (Ann) Blum, Wade (Deana) Blum and Mindy (Math) Breunig; 13 grandchildren, Cory (Kim), Tyler, Justin, Andrew, Jesse, Sonny, Mary, Emily, Jeffrey, Jacob, Amanda, Austin and Mason; 2 great-grandchildren, Owen and Weston; two sisters, Mary Ellen Schmit and Joyce (Neal) Schultz; three sisters-in-law, Virginia Johnson, Rose Johnson and Sandra K. Blum; brother-in-law, Dave Blum; and her 13 year companion, her dog, Muffy.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; grandson, Curt Blum; brothers, Aldro and Roger; sisters, Darlene and Diane; brother-in-law, James Schmit; and sister-in-law, Christine Blum.


A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013. Burial will follow in the Sauk City Cemetery. Following the burial service, all are welcome to a celebration of Sandra's life at Mindy's house, 604 Birch St., Sauk City.
