Sara Rose Schmitz, age 68, passed away peacefully at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg on Apr. 11, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born Mar. 28, 1950 to the late Gordon and Jeanette (Reuter) LaBelle. She enjoyed wood working with her father and spending time with her family and friends.

Sara is survived by her children, Lisa Miller of Prairie du Sac, Billy (Alicia) Schmitz of Prairie du Sac, and Casey (Amanda) Schmitz of Sauk City; grandchildren, Jamie, Samantha, Mike, Nicole and Skye; several great grandchildren; her special friend, Terry Ringlestetter; the father of her children, David Schmitz; her siblings, Sally (Don) Ringlestetter, Karen (Norman) Esser, JoAnn Schneider, Janeen (Lee Barreau) LaBelle, and Darrel (Vicky) LaBelle. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Shelia Disrud, Leon LaBelle, and Janice Markelein.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on April 25, 2018 at First United Church of Christ, 504 Washington Ave., Sauk City, a memorial service will follow.
