Scott Allan Russell, 62, of Mazomanie, WI passed away Tuesday May 6th. He was born in Madison, WI on October 31, 1962 to Carolyn (McKee) Russell and Albert Russell. He spent most of his days in Mazomanie, WI and loved adventures from the get go. He was the second oldest of five siblings. Susan Russell, Steve Russell, Sandy (Kerry) Miller and Shawn Russell. Scott graduated from Wisconsin Heights High School.
Scott has two daughters, Sydney and Danielle Russell who were his little adventure buddies when they were young, hunting morel mushrooms, hiking, drawing chalk all over his cars, going to national parks and lots of other outdoor adventures. Sydney has been his partner in crime for the past several years.
Scott was a part of the Carpenters Union for over 30 years. He was one of the hardest workers and put 110% into any job that he did. Scott enjoyed hanging out with his friends, traveling, listening to music, hanging out with his family and helping other people. He loved to play board games, and reading all the rules to everyone that played…multiple times.
Scott was an active member in the recovery community for decades, it was such a huge part of his life for so long and he made many lifelong friends through the program.
Scott is survived by his daughter, Sydney (Jay Ramsey) of Helena, WI; mother, Carolyn Russell of Mazomanie; his brothers, Steve Russell of Beaver Dam and Shawn of Sun Prairie; one sister, Sandy (Kerry) Miller of Beaver Dam; his Daughter, Danielle of Sun Prairie, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews other relatives and friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his older sister Sue, father Albert Russell and his grandparents.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 410 Cramer St., Mazomanie. Visitation will be held one hour prior to mass at Scott's home, 318 Cramer St., Mazomanie. Interment will follow in the St. Barnabas Cemetery. A Celebration of Scott's life will follow the committal at his daughter's home, 6210 Helena Rd., Arena.
