Sharon C. Crosby, age 73, of Sauk City, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
She was born in Madison, WI, on September 13, 1952. She graduated from Madison Memorial High School in 1970. In 1971, Sharon married the love of her life, Dan Crosby. She accompanied him to North Carolina and then to Germany during his military service. While in Germany, they traveled and especially loved riding their bikes to the movies. When they returned to Wisconsin, they continued to do everything together.
Sharon especially loved their hikes through the Lodi Marsh and Mazomanie Marsh and spending time at the cottage. She was incredibly proud of her children and grandchildren. She loved watching and supporting them in the many activities in which they participated.
She retired after a career helping farmers at Wisconsin Dairies/Foremost Farms. Later in life, Sharon was welcomed into the walking group Monday Hikes. The hikes were the highlight of her week, as they allowed her to make new friends and continue her love of walking and being outdoors. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Sauk County Humane Society. She will be remembered as a strong and loving woman who could light up a room with her smile. In her own words, “I lived a beautiful life.”
She is survived by her children, Denise Crosby-Ruskosky (Jason) and Kevin Crosby (Camilla); her grandchildren, Ella, Margaret, and Daniel; her brother, Glen Fischer (Teri); and a niece, Heather Zimmerman, and a nephew, Grant Fischer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Crosby; her brother, Duane Fischer; and her parents, Corrine Fischer (Haas) and Kenneth Fischer.
Sharon’s children would like to extend a special thank you to neighbors (especially Mary, Jim, and Cindy), cousins (especially Elaine and B), and other family members whose unconditional love and support helped us throughout this journey.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Agrace Hospice, the Sauk County Humane Society, or a charity of your choice.
