Sharon A. Jonas, age 75 of Mazomanie passed away Friday, Sept. 29, 2023 at Maplewood Nursing Home, Sauk City following a brief illness.  She was born March 25, 1948 in Marshfield to the late Al and Mary (Geitner) Monheim.  She graduated from Marshfield High School in 1966.  She married James Jonas on July 9, 1966 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield; he preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 2000.  Sharon and Jim moved to Mazomanie in 1968; Sharon was member of Auxiliary Post 437.  She enjoyed crafting totes for the VA, bowling and tending bar.

She is survived by her two children, Sherry (Dave) Fahrni of Arena and Terry (Donna) Jonas of Baraboo; two sisters, a sister in-law, 2 brother in-laws; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews' other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by several siblings, sisters and brother in-laws.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Hooverson Funeral Home, Hwy 14 West, Mazomanie.  A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of service.  Interment will follow in the St. Barnabas Cemetery, Mazomanie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sharon's family.
