Sheldon Cody Prellwitz, age 26, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at his home in DeForest. He was born on March 14, 1983 in Portage, the son of Dale Matthias and Sharon Bruckert. Sheldon enjoyed fixing cars, dabbling with electronics, riding motorcycles, and watching football. He was a kind-hearted, gentle, caring person, whose favorite pasttime was to send text messages to his friends and family telling them how much he loved them. One of the many he sent was, "Loved you once, love you still, always have, and always will". Sheldon truly loved being with his children, Koby, Dezirae, Kayleigh and Collin, and Destiney, who was like a daughter to him. In addition, he is survived by his mother, Sharon Bruckert of Los Angeles, CA; his father, Dale Matthias of Wisconsin Rapids; two brothers, Casey (Missy) Prellwitz of Pardeeville, and Shawn Prellwitz of Plantation, FL; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter Bruckert; Karen Matthias and Richard Prellwitz; and nephew, Kaleb Prellwitz. Funeral services will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2009, with Pastor Sally Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Friday, October 2, 2009.
