Obituary

Sherri Ann Steuber, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021 on what would have been her 51 st Wedding Anniversary to her beloved husband, Skeeter who preceded her in death on July 8, 2016.  Sherri was born the oldest child to the late Donald and Helen (Weynand) Dederich.  She attended and graduated from Sauk Prairie High School; class of 1965.  She completed a 2 year degree at Madison Vocational School and became a data processor at Badger Ordinance.  Sherri was united in marriage to Douglas "Skeeter" Steuber on Oct. 31, 1970; they made their home just west of Prairie du Sac where their children all currently live within one mile.  Sherri formerly worked at Maplewood Sauk Prairie for close to twenty years where she assisted residents and enjoyed working in the activities department.  She later continued her dependable career working for her brother in-law at Sentry Foods in Prairie du Sac.  It was there, for over twenty years, Sherri looked forward to greeting customers with a smile, a laugh and her perfectly manicured nails.  People loved to see her friendly smile as much as she loved showing it.  Her number one love has always been her family whom she would have done anything for. She was a proud supporter of her kids and grandkids; regularly attending sports and events that they were involved in.

Sherri is survived by her children, Shane Steuber, Shelly (Dave) Gulden and Sindee (Jason) Granger; and her cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Mara, Joe, Keagan, Macee, Kloee and Natilee; siblings, Peg (Ron) Laubmeier, Ron (Jackie) Dederich, and Kathy Galle; sister in-law Kleo and brother in-law, Terry (Cindy) Steuber.  Sherri is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sherri was preceded in death by a brother, Keith; brother in-laws, Charlie Galle (Kathy) and Ted (Kleo) Harris.
