Shirley Jane Harris, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born in Minneapolis, MN to the late Harry and Aimee (Greenfield) Blum. Shirley graduated from University of Wisconsin High School in Madison in 1944, and later took art and education classes at the University. She operated Shirley's Gifts and worked at her parent's store, Blum's Jewelry and Trophy Shop on State Street, Madison. Shirley married Ken W. Harris on March 24, 1949 at the First Congregational Church, Madison. She was an active member of the Rainbow Girls in Madison. Shirley enjoyed arts, crafting, sewing and traveling with her husband Ken.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ken; 3 sons, William (Gloria) Harris of Wilton, CA, John (Nancy) Harris of Tecumseh, MI, and Gary (Lynn) Harris of Elk Grove, CA; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ben (Evelyn) Blum of Madison; other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 with Pastor Kendall Schlittler officiating. Burial will follow in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
