Soya Sagami, age 96 years, of Mazomanie, slipped away from us peacefully on Jan. 12 2017, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves behind a deeply grieving family who will miss him dearly, Lola (Seitz), his loving wife of 63 years; 2 sons, Dennis(Sue), Ron; 2 daughters, Debbie Ossmann(Edward), Julie Moyer(David); grandchildren, Kurt, Kiah, Patrick, Shane (Samantha), Garet, Brooke and Makayla; great grandchild, Raegan; a sister In-law, Josie; and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
Soya was the last of a family of 10 siblings. He was born in Tacoma, WA. On Nov. 20, 1920 and later moved to Mazomanie Wi. where he lived most of his life. Soya worked at Mcfarlane's Implement in Sauk City, WI until he was well into his 80's. He loved to work the land and watch the seeds turn into wonderful fruits of his labor. Soya retired as a vegetable farmer three years ago. He was lucky to have all of his grandson's at different stages in their lives helping him out on the farm at one time or another. He loved to hunt, spend time outdoors, play cards and be with his family.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Goodbye to a man that has worked hard all his life and has gone through so many trials to overcome. We will miss you so much! Looking over the river and walking through the fields will never be the same. Rest in peace now till we meet again!
A special thank you Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg without whom, this journey would have been so much harder.
