IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stanley "Tom"
Diehl
August 28, 1939 – March 1, 2024
Stanley "Tom" Diehl, age 84 passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1, 2024.
He was born on August 28,1939 the son of Theodore (Ted) and Verna Diehl. He graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 1957. After graduation he held various jobs, truck driver, badger ammunition plant, and finally ended up delivering mail for the State of Wisconsin before retirement.
Stanley had a few hobbies in life. Fishing, hunting, and playing cards were at the top of the list. He enjoyed telling hunting stories to anyone who wanted to talk, always doing so with his trademark humor. We all heard the stories over and over throughout the years, and we will all miss them, and his "famous quotes". He was a man of few words, but always did so with a smile. Later in his life he bought some land with his brother, and over the span of nearly 25 years, helped turn it from open fields to a deer hunting dream. He was one of a kind and will be missed by those that knew him well.
Stanley is survived by his two sisters, Nancy Wipperfurth and Sandra Frey, both of Sauk City, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ron.
A visitation will be held from 4pm until 7pm on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City.
Stanley is now reunited in Heaven with his brother, Ron, whom he shared an unbreakable bond with and no matter what one was doing, the other wasn't far behind.
In Lieu of flowers, the family is asking that the next time you crack open a Sun Drop (cans, not bottles) to remember Stanley and the good times that were shared in his presence.
