Stanley F. Flesch

Stanley F. Flesch, age 90, of Prairie Du Sac, entered God’s Kingdom peacefully on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. He was born in Lancaster, Wisconsin on May 28, 1936; the son of Walter and Isabel (Holzer) Flesch. Stanley graduated from Fennimore High School in 1954. After graduation Stanley worked for several cheese factories in Stitzer, Preston and Fennimore. Stanley joined the U.S. Army in 1956 and served active duty in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1958. The U.S. Army pursued Stanley in offering a military career in electronics repair for medical and radio equipment due to his natural mechanical/electrical aptitude and inclination. Stanley decided in 1958 to return home to his “to-be” loving wife Lavon Winkers to whom he met in 1957 and would marry on July 16, 1960 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Montfort, WI. Stanley and LaVon moved to Rockford, IL in 1961 to start their life together. Stanley started his 20 year career with 7-Up on his 26th birthday in 1962. They spent the next decade residing in Illinois before returning to Wisconsin in May of 1974 and living in Madison where they would raise their then young family. In May of 1982 Stanley started his sales career with Hoffman Chemical and Supply Company in Madison for who he was a leading sales person. Before retiring in 2006 Stanley and Lavon would make their final move to Prairie Du Sac where they would reside the remainder of their lives. After retiring Stanley would go on to be a historical tour guide in Sauk Prairie, WI. It gave him great pleasure to share the “old school house” with his Grandchildren. Stanley was an avid classic car enthusiast. Stanley also enjoyed many weekends attending classic car shows with his loving wife Lavon as they both had a great affection for their 1964 Chevy Impala SS black in color which they affectionately called Big Bertha. Stanley was a lover of animals from a very young age growing up on a farm to his final days at home where he ritualistically fed the birds and the squirrels which he affectionately named “Chucky” & “Chewey”. Stanley and Lavon also raised their other family of “rabbits” (5 in total over the last 20+ years) ending with Snickers who entered God’s kingdom in 2025.

Stanley is survived by four children and seven grandchildren, Cheri Jones of Sun Prairie and her son Ryan; Shelly (David)Kaster of Reedsburg and her daughters Cassandra and Renee; Steven Flesch of Waunakee and his children Alexis, Logan, and Brayden; Thomas Flesch of Dane and his daughter Chloe; 7 great grandchildren; sister Janet (Ed) of Deforest, Roseanne Delfosse of Madison.

Stanley was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, parents, brother Jerome and granddaughter Angel.
