Steven Roy Smith, age 60, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, July 18, 2016. He was born in Rockford, Ill on Apr. 13, 1956 to the late Roy M. and Marilyn J. (Schweder) Smith. Steve married Dawn E. Fisher on June 29, 1985. He was currently working as a Technician for Terminex and previously worked for CWCAC and Project Home as an weatherization auditor working with the less fortunate assisting with their housing needs; a job he thoroughly enjoyed and proud to be a part of for 18 years. He was an avid outdoorsman; he loved boating, fishing, camping, socializing and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn; a daughter, Ashley;4 brothers, Gary M. (Suzanne), Roger E. (Rhonda), Michael J., Scott (Aimee)Smith; a sister, Sherene Shilts; sister in-law, Debra Fisher; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother in-law, Channing and Gretchen Fisher; 2 brother in-laws, Donald Parker and Dale Shillts.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sat. July 23, 2016 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City, WI. A brief reflection of Steve's life will be held at 4:45pm.
