Steven "Stevie" C. Thomas, age 59 , passed away at home on Tuesday, June 8, 2010. He was born in Madison on February 6, 1951 to the late Claude and Betty Jane (Connelly) Thomas. Stevie grew up in Merrimac and graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 1970. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1971 and served in Alaska. Stevie married Janet Bletsch on September 22, 1979. Together they enjoyed boating on the lake, fishing, traveling, especially to Las Vegas, hunting and cheering for the Packers.


He is survived by his wife, Janet; siblings, Billie (Sandra) Thomas of Portage, Gail (Rocco) Sylvester of Portage, Perry Thomas of Poynette, Bonita (Anthony) Palmer of Merrimac/ Iowa, and his little dog, Marlee. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Davey and Eric Thomas.


A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday , June 12, 2010 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City. A visitation we be held on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. As per Stevie's request casual attire is encouraged.
