Sue Ann Hollinger, age 88, passed away Aug. 1, 2021 at The Pines Assisted Living in Prairie du Sac, WI.  She was born in Wauseon, OH on Sept. 10, 1932 to the late Cliford and Dorothy (Goodwin) Segrist.  She attended and graduated from Delta High School in Delta, OH., class of 1950.  Sue's love story started at a 5 year old birthday party, and she was united in marriage to her lifelong best friend and later sweetheart, Milton "Milt" Hollinger on Sept. 18, 1955 at Delta United Methodist Church after Milt's return from the Air Force.  Sue and Milt moved many times after leaving Delta, eventually settling in Elk Grove Village, IL, where they founded Hollinger Services, a Nationwide Insurance Agency, which was later owned by their son, Tom.  They lived in Elk Grove for 40 years, making many good friends through the community and Prince of Peace United Methodist Church. Sue's health issues became more complicated, so in 2011 the decision was made to move to Prairie du Sac to be closer to family. The center of Sue's life was her extended family, the beloved Segrists. If you knew her, you surely heard about the Annual Segrist Family Shindig held every July 4th when up to six generations gathered together for a week-long reunion, usually on the shores of Lake Michigan. She enjoyed time spent with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed being at the lakehouse, crafts, making monster cookies, taking lots of pictures, chewing gum, yellow roses, and playing bridge.  She attended Graceway Church, Sauk Prairie.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Milt; their 3 children, son Tom (Rosemary) Hollinger and their 3 children, Jim (Brittney Manzagol) Bieneman, Chris Bieneman, Clifford "CJ" Hollinger; daughter Dorothy "Dodi" (Jeff) Parker and their 2 children, Kaitie (Dean) Gasser (children Emily, Eric and Elizabeth) and Mark (Kathy Irwin); daughter Dana Hollinger and her children, Ashley (Yavir Castro) Esford and Aaron Kawalski; her brother, Richard Segrist.  Sue is further survived by many other relatives and extended family, "the Segrist kids,"of the beloved Segrist Shindig and her faithful k9 companion, "Dukie."

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by 3 siblings: Al Segrist, Jean Rearick and William "Butch" Segrist.

As per Sue's wishes, a private family burial service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta, OH.  A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Sue's and Milt's 66th wedding anniversary, Saturday, September 18th in Prairie du Sac.

Sue's family would like to thank The Pines' Staff, Agrace Hospice and Nurse Kevin, Dr. Maribeth Baker, Dr. Elliot Williams and his Nurse Kristin for their excellent care of Sue, and of course, all the wonderful friends and neighbors who have helped Sue and Milt over the past years.
