Susan Marie (Brueggeman) Ballweg, age 61, died peacefully at her home, on October 25, 2016 after a long health battle. She was born in Wausau, to the late Elmer and Bernice (Fisher) Brueggeman. Susan graduated from Wisconsin Heights High School in 1973.

She married Joseph on October 19, 1974. Susan was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and participated in liturgy council, hospitality committee and pastoral, was a reader , communion minister and donated her time to the school and church. Susan enjoyed her flowers and collecting music boxes and polka dances. Her children remember her as a kind and giving mother who supported them in all that they did.


Susan is survived by her husband, Joseph H. Ballweg; three children, daughter, Robin Ballweg, of North Freedom, two sons, Joseph R, Ballweg of Prairie du Sac, and Jeremy Ballweg of Prairie du Sac; grandchildren, Dominick, Mackenzie, Jacklyn and Tristen Ballweg; three siblings, Gene (Nancy) Brueggeman of Mazomanie, Todd (Tamra) Brueggeman of Pardeeville, and Phyllis (David) Powders of Oklahoma City; her best friend, Betty Waldinger of Prairie du Sac. Further survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City with Father John Blewett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City, WI.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the family to help with medical expenses.
