Obituary

Tanner Edward Batz, 27, of Prairie du Sac/Mazomanie, WI, passed away unexpectedly on June 3rd, 2022. He was born on November 29, 1994 to Lisa (Wildt) and Joseph Batz. Tanner graduated from Wisconsin Heights High School the class of 2013. Much of his younger years were spent working on the family farm, fixing things, and learning how to eventually become the hardworking man he was. When he wasn't working, he loved to watch anything involving history, Pawn Stars, Harry Potter, and anything on the food channel. Tanner strived to make people laugh and would show anyone any video he thought was humorous.

Tanner was a kind and gentle soul that wore his heart on his sleeve. Anyone who knew Tanner knew he had the kindest heart and wanted nothing more than to see the people around him happy. He is remembered by his beautiful blue eyes and rosy cheeked smile. He spent a lot of his time with numerous family members, friends, and people close to him. Any chance he could, he would offer a listening ear or advice to people around him. His passions were anything mechanical, all things hands on, and if there was something wrong with it chances are Tanner was the guy to fix it. He enjoyed the work that he did as a diesel mechanic and often it was the main topic of most of his conversations.

Tanner is survived by his parents, Lisa and Joe, brothers Hayden and Eli, grandmother Terese Batz, loving girlfriend Brianna Pope, godson Oliver Voss, aunts and uncles; Karen (Bob) Duhr, Laurie (Don) Powers, Linda Lawler (Greg), Steve, Mandy (Chad) Peterson, cousins Bryce and Sydnee, Orin (Nicole), Caitlin (Nick), Alexa, Skyla, Mia, and Mason. He will also be remembered by other extended family and close friends he considered family.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Wayne and Mae Wildt, as well as his grandfather Lawrence Batz. The family is comforted in knowing he is with his beloved grandparents that were so very proud of the young man that he had become.

One of Tanner's biggest comforts were the two naughty dogs, Zeke and Micky. If you wish to donate, please consider donating to a humane society or rescue in his honor.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 25, 2022 from 12 noon - 5 pm at Veteran's Memorial Park, 700 VFW Drive, Prairie du Sac, WI 53578
