November 28, 1918 – April 15, 2018
Tharsilla K. Breunig, age 99, passed away peacefully at St. Clare Hospice House in Baraboo on Apr., 15, 2018. She was born in Martinsville on Nov. 28, 1918 to the late Frank and Mary (Annen) Kelter. Tharsilla was united in marriage to Joseph A. Breunig on Sept. 11, 1940; he preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1995. She worked as a Nursing Assistant at the Sauk Prairie Hospital for over 25 years. Tharsilla was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing euchre with her friends.
Tharsilla is survived by her daughter, Jeanette (William) Olson of Onalaska; son in-law, Louis Raupp of Reedsburg; 8 grandchildren, Tammy (William) Loy, Robert Olson, Sharon (Ed) Cassel, Cynthia (Chris) Hulen, Tiffany (Terry) Thompson, Leonard (Corrine) Raupp, John (Kathy) Raupp, Paula Raupp; 12 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Vanessa, Alexandria, Ashley, Isabelle, Miles, Brittany, Ty, Megan, Cheyenne, Ada, Vivian; 1 great great-granddaughter, Anessa; 1 brother, Leander Kelter of Hunington Beach, CA. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Vivian Raupp; and 5 siblings, Meinrad Kelter, Hildegard Hellenbrand, Alphonse Kelter, Donald Kelter, and Viola Pearson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Apr. 20, 2018 at St., Aloysius Catholic Church, 115 Madison St., Sauk City. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:15 am at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City. Burial will follow in the St. Aloysius Cemetery.
Tharsilla's family would like to express their sincerest thanks to all of her friends, with whom she shared time and many wonderful memories with.
