Thomas "Tom" Allen Mahoney, age 57, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at U.W. Hospital in Madison unable to overcome his failing heart. He was born in Madison on October 28, 1957 to Tom and Ellen (Evert) Mahoney. Tom graduated Sauk Prairie High School, Class of 1977. Tom married Debby Froese on July 26, 1980. Tom was an active member of the Sauk City Fire Department for 32 years, Active Fire Commission Member, former Village of Sauk City Trustee, former Sauk Prairie Ambulance Commission Member and member at St. John's Lutheran Church in Prairie du Sac. Most recently Tom was a milk truck driver for KDS Trucking, and previously was manager at the Sauk City Mobil for many years. Tom enjoyed NASCAR, watching football, and spending time with his family. He was proud to have fought and won a battle with cancer 17 years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Debby; 3 children, Michelle (Justin) Grosse of Sauk City, Crystal (Shawn) Fahrenkampf of North Freedom, Tom (Sonya Johnston) Mahoney of Middleton; 4 grandchildren, Julia Grosse, Kailey, Ritter and Corbin Fahrenkampf; his father, Tom Mahoney of Prairie du Sac; a sister, Debbie DiMartino; a brother, Dennis (Jill) Mahoney; mother in-law, Josephine Froese; he is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen and his father in-law, Karl Froese.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 100 Oak Street, Prairie du Sac, WI with Pastor Sally Williams officiating. A visitation will be held at St. John's from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 2, 2015 and one hour prior to the service.
