Thonetta Ann Hehenberger, age 87, died May 11, 2017 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born at home in Honey Creek on Sept. 19, 1929 to the late Harry and Marcella (Rothacker) Steuber. Thonetta was united in marriage to her one true love, Ivan A. Hehenberger, on September 17, 1948; he preceded her in death on April 20, 2017.
She enjoyed playing cards, sewing, and cooking. Thonetta drove school bus in the Sauk Prairie area and was fortunate enough to drive every one of her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren on her bus route, finally retiring after 48 years. She was a member of the Pine Grove Homemakers and First United Church of Christ.

Thonetta is survived by 5 daughters, Lynette (Dennis) Reuter, Loralyn (Mike) Hjerpe, Lorette (Jack) Kramer, Lorinda (Jack) Van Tassel, and Lyneen (Ron) Wright; 9 grandchildren, Season (Andy) Breunig, Michela (Chris) Hendricks, Danielle (David) Breunig, Matt Reuter, Jarret Van Tassel, Jacey (Chris) Wolff, Taylor Finn, Colin Finn and Andrea Wright; along with 7 great grandchildren, Becky, Riley, Ashton, Averee, Raelyn, Amaelle, and Caven; brother in-law, Paul Oetzman; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Oetzman and an uncle Raymond Rothacker.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on May 15, 2017 at First United Church of Christ, Sauk City. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow in the Honey Creek Cemetery.

Mom, we know you are with Dad once again holding his hand.
