Toni Lea Colby, age 59, of Arena passed away unexpectedly at her vacation home near Duluth, MN on June 17, 2021.  She was born in Wilmington, Il. on May 29, 1962 to Robert and Devona (Jones) Wright.  She attended High School in Wilmington, Il and graduated in the class of 1980.  Following High School, she enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a medic.  It was this love of helping others that pushed her to attend Joliet Junior College, where she earned her R.N. Certificate.  Toni worked for almost 25 years for the Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital, and later at several local nursing homes.  She was united in marriage to Mark Colby on June 5, 1990; he preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 2019.  She is a member of the St. Barnabas Catholic Church of Mazomanie, and the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at Mill Creek, where she and her family used to attend regularly.  Toni enjoyed fishing, reading, studying history, gardening, and scary movies.

She is survived by her children, Abigail of Platteville and Richard of Arena; her mother, Devona and step-father, Richard Momper; siblings, Michael Wright, Vicki Williams, and David Wright.  She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her dad, Robert Wright and a brother, Kenny Wright.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at St. John the Baptist, 6494 County Hwy H, Arena.  A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Burial will follow in the Arena Cemetery.
