Vera Irene Ford, age 92, passed away peacefully Jan. 1, 2020 at the Pines Assisted Living in Prairie du Sac.  Vera was born Sept. 16, 1927 in Muskegon, MI. to the late Darwin and Leona (Charon) Marvin.  She was a graduate of Eastern High School in Lansing, MI., class of 1947.  Vera was united in marriage to William Ford Sr., on Jan. 31, 1947; he preceded her in death on May 8, 2001.  Vera worked alongside her husband for 25 years as the bookkeeper for their service station in Lansing, MI.  Following the closing of their station in the late 1970's, Vera worked as a teller at a bank in Grand Ledge until her retirement.  She enjoyed gardening, spending time with friends and family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Vera is survived by her children, William (Donna) Ford Jr. of Prairie du Sac, WI., Rebecca Ann (William) Cole of Gilroy, CA., David Robert (Kim) Ford of Grand Ledge, MI and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Ruth (Lyle)Schlappi, Darwin (Carol) Marvin Jr., Doris (Bill) Steinmann and a grandson.

Vera's family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at The Pines and Agrace Hospice for their wonderful care.

As per Vera's wishes, a family service will be held at a later date.
