Obituary
Verda Lucille Smith, 88, of Mazomanie, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Pines Assisted Living in Prairie du Sac surrounded by her family. She was born in Sparta, WI on August 30, 1924 to the late Charles and Louisa (Harrison) Wallace. Verda was married to James H. Smith. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, James "Larry" Smith; three daughters, Cheryl (Bernie Morzuch) Smith, Shannon (George) Senger, Shelley (Tom Drager) Smith; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and many friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Smith; a grandson, Todd Smith; four brothers, Walter, Marvin, Robert, and Herbert Wallace; and two sisters, Hazel Schlaver and Alice Wilkinson.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Pines Assisted Living in Prairie du Sac and Home Health United Hospice.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10:00 am at New Heights Lutheran Church, 105 E. Hudson St., Mazomanie. A reception and luncheon will take place following the service. Interment of ashes will be at the convenience of the family.
