Verlyn L. Zins, age 87, died Friday , June 26, 2015 at Sauk Prairie Health Care. He was born on July 4, 1927, the son of the late Clarence and Mabel (Leiser) Zins. He was united in marriage to Mary Harrop on June 13, 1959. In addition to being a life-long farmer Verlyn was a 4-H Dairy Leader, former president of the Tri-County Co-op and Merrimac Mutual Insurance Company boards and former Town of Troy Clerk.


He is survived by his wife, Mary; 3 children, David (Pamala), Janet (Phil) Rudig, and Brian; 8 grandchildren; 1 sister Adeline Kamrath; 1 niece, Nancy (Gary) Liegel.
He was preceded in death by his in laws, Clayton and Isabelle Harrop, brothers in law, David Harrop and Glen Kamrath, nephew Phil Kamrath, and a special great nephew Daren Kamrath.


A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Concordia United Methodist Church, Prairie du Sac, WI, with Pastor Doris Simpson officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Concordia United Methodist Church or to the charity of the donors choice.
