Victoria "Vickie" A. Kenyon, age 67 died Friday, April 27, 2012 at her home. She was born in LaCrosse on May 17, 1944, the daughter of the late Oscar and Ruth (Marking) Oines. She was a quality assurance engineer at Teel Plastics for over thirty-five years where she pioneered I.S.O. certification standards. Vickie enjoyed photography, making creative cards, gardening/flowers and travel. She volunteered for many years with Kids Companion, the food pantry and at the library where she tutored english as a second language.
She was deeply loved and will be missed by her daughters, grandchildren and friends.
Survivors include four daughters; Laurie (Ed) Burckhardt of Poynette,
Christine (Eric Wiley) Kenyon of Mount Horeb,
Deborah Rathermel of Waupun and
Holly (Rob) Kurt of Lodi,
grandchildren; Ryan, Kelli, Laurel, Christopher (Jamie), Jereme, Randy (Tricia), Brett, Alec, Jake, Katie, Brianna and Kyle, a great-granddaughter; Jocelyn.
her siblings; Vern (Julie) Oines of Holmen, Allan (Lee) Oines of Missoula, Montana, other relatives and her ya-ya friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson; Jeff Burckhardt.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 Oak St., Prairie du Sac. Burial will be in the Norway Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City.
