Obituary

Vila Mae Wilkinson "Ma", age 91, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City. She was born in Okee on August 6, 1920, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Ida (Abbott) Horton. Vila married Donald Wilkinson on September 6, 1943 in Amarillo, Tx. She was an avid fan of Sauk Prairie Sports and the Sauk Prairie Twins.


Vila is survived by 11 children,
Clifford (Sue) Wilkinson, Karen (Howard) Diehl, Sharon Wollin, Donna (Bill) Astle, Deanna "Pudge" (Roger) Carpenter, Janet (Dean) Kraemer, Randy (Laura) Wilkinson, Larry (Kim) Wilkinson, Lori Jones, Keith (Nancy) Wilkinson, and Bruce (Stephanie) Wilkinson; grandchildren, Curt, Jason and Chris Wilkinson, Kari McChesney, Megan Diehl, Tracy Blake, David Warren Jr., Dawn Wegscheid, Daniel and Darren Astle, Wyatt Carpenter, Emily Carpenter, Beth Blau, Owen Carpenter, Tiffany Kraemer, Keli Jacobs, Heather Richter, Erik Kraemer, Travis and Shane Wilkinson, Tracy Amacher, Taylor Wilkinson, Josh Wilkinson, Rachel Dowling, Diana, Amber, and Ethan Wilkinson; 21 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a brother, Donald Horton; three sisters-in-law, Annie Horton, Vickie Klitzke and Annie Brockman; a special niece Eileen Wickham; and a special friend, Iris Gavol. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband and 10 siblings.


A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Sauk Prairie Evangelical Free Church, 1375 Lincoln Ave., Prairie du Sac with Pastor Dwight Pulsfus officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
