Virginia L. Bedord, age 94, passed away Mar. 16, 2018 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born Oct. 1, 1923 in Blue Island, Ill. to the late George and Clara (Schaffer) Fleischman. Virginia was united in marriage to George F. Bedord on Jan. 19, 1946; he preceded her in death on June 5, 2002. They met and worked together at Automatic Electric in Chicago. They enjoyed traveling the back roads of Wisconsin until they finally moved to the Mazomanie area in 1986. She enjoyed walking the neighborhood, visiting and stopping to pet every dog she met. Virginia moved to Maplewood Village in 2017 where she continued to be active and enjoyed walking and visiting with her neighbors; we were blessed to have her so long, especially her sense of humor.

She leaves behind her son, George C. (Karla) Bedord; grandchildren, Victoria Cardiel and Bill (Holly) Bedord; great grandchildren, Allison and Maranda Cardiel. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers.

Virginia's family would like to thank the entire staff at Maplewood Village and Maplewood Nursing Home for their wonderful care and kindness.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thur. March 22, 2018 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 702 Emily Rd., Mazomanie. A visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Interment will follow in the Mazomanie Cemetery.
