Virginia Helen Moely, age 84, passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026.  She was born in Baraboo on Oct. 5, 1941 to the late Oscar and Helen (Von Allmen) Kramer.  Virginia attended Baraboo High School graduating in 1959.  She was united in marriage to Russell Moely Nov. 2, 1974 at Concordia United Methodist Church, Prairie du Sac; he preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 2022.  Virginia joined Russell on the Moely Farm after they married and together they farmed near Badger Ordinance in the Sumpter Township.

Virgina is survived by a few family members, friends and Sumpter neighbors.

A service for Virginia will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 3rd, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City.  A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery.
