Walter R. Jaedike, age 81, of Baraboo passed away peacefully at his home , on Saturday , June 20, 2009. He was born on May 17, 1928 in Sauk County, the son of Edmund and Augusta (Steinhorst) Jaedike. As part of a musical family, he was much sought after as a soloist for many local weddings and funerals in the Sauk county area, in his younger years. In 1957, Walter and his family moved to Milwaukee,WI , where he was employed as a bus driver for Badger Coach until his retirement. Upon retirement, he returned to his roots and spent his remaining years enjoying hunting snowmobiling, watching and feeding the birds, around his peaceful home in the beautiful Baraboo Bluff area.
Survivors include: 1 son: Michael (Mary) Jaedike of Port Washington
1 daughter: Cheryl (Tom Blau) Bokelman of New Bern, NC

1 sister Adeline Gilmore of Kansas City
many nieces, nephews , great nieces and nephews ,
a special niece and her husband, Virginia and Edward Nimmow of Sauk City, who were always there to help him out or share in his love of snowmobiling.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Kessler, his parents and his sisters Evelyn Flood, Lorna McFarlane and Helen Schaefer.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday July 25, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Leland. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
