Warren T. Wittwer, age 87, passed away at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City on Monday September 12, 2011. He was born in Arena, Wi to Ernest Sr., and Alice (Jennings) Wittwer. He married Alice K. Guethlein on July 11, 1947. Warren was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Sauk City. He lived most of his life in Lodi and the Sauk Prairie Area. He was in partnership and later co-owned the Midway Oil Company since 1947, until he retired in 2002. Warren was in the United States Army and served in the Infantry during WWII. He was a member of the Lodi American Legion.

4 daughters; Donna (Richard) Kaufman; Barbara (Christopher) Utley; Joyce Diehlmann; Christine (Norbert) Hardtke.
11 grandchildren; Carri and Cristi; Eric and Laura; Jennifer and Nicole; Kimberly and Kevin; Jenn, Brian and Eric.
10 great-grandchildren; Taylor, Morgan, Tanner, Danielle, Jordan, Jessica, Jacob, Jema, Holden, and Dakota. 2 brothers Ernest Jr. (Lorraine); and Franklin (Elaine) Wittwer. He is further survived by many other realtives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Clifford, and sister in-law Margaret Wittwer.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother and will be missed by all.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 11:00am at First United Church of Christ in Sauk City with Pastor Bill Kapp officiating. Burial with Military rites will follow at the Prairie du Sac Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 am until time of service.
