Wayne E. Anderson, age 86, died on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at his home in rural Sauk City. He was born in Highland on March 28, 1925, the son of the late Irvin and Mayme (Butteris) Anderson.

Wayne was employed by Grabers/Springs Window Fashions for many years. He had a passion for fixing all things mechanical, and was a true genius at repairing everything. His motto was "I think I can do it".


He is survived by his wife, Lorna; four children, David (Sandy) Anderson, Nancy Sullivan, Nancy (Thomas) Mueller, and Brad (Carol) Olson; his former wife, Mildred Nagel Bowen; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; two sisters, Anna Marie (Paul) Muehlenberg and Mary Baudendistel; and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Busse; and a brother, Dennis Anderson.


A funeral service will be held at ST. JAMES EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH-WELS, 415 Washington St., Prairie du Sac, at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2012, with Pastor Bradley Pearson officiating. Friends may call at the church from 12noon until the time of service.
