William "Bill" E. Harrison, 73, of Baraboo, WI. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg.  He was born Oct. 16, 1947 in Baraboo, Wi. to the late Walter and Jenevieve Harrison.  Bill proudly served 4 years in the U.S. Army serving one tour of duty in Vietnam (Apr. 1968- Apr.1969).  On August 14, 1976 Bill married Sandra Nikl.

Bill installed furnaces and air conditioners, retiring as an HVAC Service Technician after 33 years with Isenberg Hardware.  Bill was a family man, sharing his love of hunting with his sons.  He was a hard worker telling his children, "Can't isn't a word.  Nothing is impossible, some things just take longer".  In the age of technology, he loved to hear his grandson Wally's laugh with the videos that his daughter in-law shared with him on his phone.  He had an unconditional love for his dogs; they provided him with companionship and gave him many happy memories.

Bill is survived by his best friend, soul mate,  and love of his life, Sandy; children, Jennifer (Erik) Stanton, Benjamin (Alexandria) Harrison, Timothy (Jenna) Harrison; grandchildren, Noah and Cecelia Stanton, Reese, Abigail and Sydney Lehmann, and Walter Harrison; his sister, Ruth Nolden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, June Hartman and Carolyn Leroy; his father and mother in-law, Edward and Marlys Nikl.

As per Bill's wishes, a private family service will be held.

Bill's family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Unity Point Health-Meriter Hospital and the Agrace Hospice care staff in Fitchburg for their wonderful care.
