William "Bill" Gerard Ziegler, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 31, 2017, from an automobile accident. He was born in Madison on Sept. 26, 1966, to the late Marvin and Theresa (Maly) Ziegler. Bill was a graduate of Lodi High School; class of 1985. He was employed at Meffert Oil in Waunakee for the last 25 years. Bill was often helping others, especially his mother and his brother, Gerald, and now through the gift of organ donation, he will continue to help others. Bill was a fan of the Packers and Badgers. He enjoyed cutting wood, helping on the family farm, and spending time with his circle of friends. He was a great uncle to his many nieces and nephews, whom he was proud of. Bill was a member of St. Norbert's Catholic Church in Roxbury where he previously served on the parish council.

He is survived by his siblings, Wayne (Marlene), Sharon, Larry (Marilyn), Gerald, Rose (Herb) Karls, Dennis (Mary Jo), Lavern (Sue), Lynn (Dave) Deans, and Ken (Jean). He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Ziegler, and a foster brother, Lester Rung.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Sat. Jan. 6, 2018 at St. Norbert's Catholic Church, Roxbury. As per Bill's wishes, he requested no flowers and no visitation to be held. There will not be a luncheon served. A private interment will be held in the church cemetery at a later date.
