William G. Richards, age 96, passed into his heavenly home on October 14, 2016 at Maplewood Nursing Home of Sauk Prairie. He was born in Chicago, Il. on February 24, 1920 the son of William Sr. and Ruth Richards. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II .

He graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 1949. That same year he married Patricia Wilken and began a life in full time Christian ministry. He served several churches in Michigan and Wisconsin as pastor. Bill began his ministry as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Sauk City, Wisconsin in 1963 retired as their pastor 2005.

He is survived by his son , William "Bill" Richards, of Prairie du Sac; daughter, Barbara ( T.R. )Myers, of Dahlonega, GA; granddaughter, Hope Myers of South Korea; a grandson Trygve Myers of Atlanta, GA, a brother, John Richards of Cherokee, AR; nieces, nephews, and many more who he hsve come to love through the years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia in March of 1997.

He loved his Heavenly Father and endeavored to share God's truth wherever he was. The family wishes to thank the employees of Maplewood Nursing Home, who took such good care of him these last months.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday , October 17, 2016 at the Sauk Prairie Lachmund Cramer V.F.W. Post #7694, Prairie du Sac.
