William "Bill" Thomas Sellers, age 76, went to be with our Lord on January 18, 2011 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Bill was born in Troy, Alabama on February 22, 1934 to the late Curtis and Mable (Harris) Sellers, the youngest of 3 children. After 25 years of distinguished service to his country, Bill retired as a Major in the United States Air Force, during which time he flew 11 different aircraft. He was also proud of his service in the Vietnam War. Bill's adventurous nature lead him to a new career with American Airlines where he continued to fly for another 30 years out of O'Hare Airport in Chicago. Bill and his college sweetheart, Pat, retired to Merrimac, where they built a home on Lake Wisconsin. He and his family had a great love of hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and traveling around the beautiful communities.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia.
Daughter; Teri (Donald) Higgason, Lake Wales, FL.
Son; William Mark (Bobbie) Sellers, Elk Grove Village, Il.
5 grand-children; Sean (Nicole) Higgason, Ashley Sellers, Corey Sellers, Lauren Reiken, and Kyle Reiken.
1 great-granddaughter; MacKenzie Higgason. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a beloved daughter, Sharon Reiken Cook, Cary Il.
A sister Vivian Asten, Rhode Island and a brother Curtis Sellers, Orange Park, FL.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2011 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Merrimac United Methodist Church, 25 Church St., Merrimac, Wi. Pastor Anita Genrich will officiate a service at 4:00 pm. A reception will follow at the church. Interment will be held at a later date in Cary, Il at Windridge Memorial Park and Nature Sanctuary.
Memorials may be made in Bill's name to the Merrimac United Methodist Church, Sauk Prairie United Home Health and the Parkinson's Foundation 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509 New York, NY 10018.
