Winifred "Winnie" E. (Westphal) Grass, age 89, passed away peacefully, with family by her side on July 27th, 2022 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born on June 28th 1933, the daughter of the late Otto and Helen (Parman) Westphal at her family farm, in the town of Berry. As a young girl she enjoyed life on the farm. Winnie graduated from Mazomanie High School in 1951. After high school she was employed at AAA in Madison.She married Lowell Grass on May 10th, 1958 and they raised two daughters in Sauk City, Wisconsin. Winnie retired in 1991 from M&I Bank of Sauk City, after many years of service. She enjoyed reading, daily crossword puzzles, bird watching, spending time in the day lily garden and her extensive travels throughout the years.

She was a member of The First United Church of Christ, Sauk City. She loved her family and friends with all her heart.

Winnie is survived by her husband Lowell; daughters, Deborah Grass Weber and Sue Grass; grandchildren, Bret (Hilary) Weber, Carley (Nick) Young, and Helen Richard; great-grand children, Colin Fitzpatrick, Duvlyn Weber, and Colton and Blake Young.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Helen; parents in-law, Joseph and Alice Grass; brothers, Robert and Tom Westphal; and in-laws, Lorraine Westphal, Beverly Westphal, and Lyman and Irene Waffenschmidt.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5th at 10am followed by a Celebration Of Life Service at 11am at Hooverson Funeral Home in Sauk City, WI.
