IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wyatt W.
Maier
April 21, 1994 – February 18, 2025
Wyatt Wolfgang Maier, age 30, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025. He was born April 21, 1994 to Maurice and Rhonda (Rolstad) Maier. He was a graduate of the Sauk Prairie High School; class of 2012. At a young age Wyatt was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. In spite of his diagnosis, he always remained positive, never complaining about his ailments and always looked forward to being involved and taking a genuine interest from his large extended family.
Wyatt was fortunate to have a best friend, Justin Davis, who was like a brother from another mother, you would swear they shared the same brain at times. Wyatt helped with Justin's work projects or they would plan their next adventure like their trips they took to Montana or maybe planning a new tattoo. Wyatt loved his great pyrenes-rottweiler mix, "Remi", a humongous dog with more bark than bite. The dog was just about as tall as he was. Wyatt enjoyed the outdoors, fishing with Grandpa Mike, earlier years spent hunting, yard work at home, sharing his contagious smile and sense of humor with all he met and fixing whatever mom needed fixed without being asked; his mom appreciated everything he did for her and for others. He enjoyed his head scratches and haircuts from his mom and gave the biggest hugs while making sure to crack her back.
After the loss of his sister, Kori Jo from her own battle with Cystic Fibrosis in 2014 and his dad's death in 2016 he became inseparable from his younger nephew, Bryce. They spent all their time together; family becoming the most important thing to him. Wyatt was a courageous warrior and used his creative abilities to provide many gifts to friends and family.
Wyatt will be dearly missed by his mom, Rhonda; nephew, Bryce; step siblings, Ravin (Mike) Chatfield and Cole (Dawn) Maier and their children, Alisha, Chloe, Owen and Madeline; aunts and uncles, Scott Rolstad, Mitch (Sandy) Maier, Mark (Dianne) Maier, Renee (Dennis) Frey, Monte (Roxi) Maier, Roxann (Ron) Lenz, Rochell (Roberto) Colon, and Rebecca (Ted) Frey, Marcia Meise and countless cousins, other relatives and friends.
Wyatt was preceded in death by his dad, Maury; sister, Kori Jo; maternal grandparents, Fay and Ron "Mike" Rolstad; paternal grandparents, Vern and Betty Maier; aunt, Shelly Greimel and uncle, Mike Maier.
A Visitation will be held for Wyatt on Monday, Mar. 3, 2025 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday, Mar 4, 2025 from 10:00 am until 10:45 am, with a Memorial Mass to be held at St. Norbert's, Catholic Church in Roxbury at 11:00 am. A private family interment will be held at Garden Bluff Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Dorf Haus, after the interment.
Wyatts family would like to express their appreciation to Wyatt's U.W. Hospital caregivers and to Brook LaChance NP for her help and care over the many years and to neighbor and close friend Dana Cummings for her friendship.
